Renu Kumari Yadav
Renu Kumari Yadav is a Nepalese politician, belonging to the Ahir community,〔(Center for Women and Politics (CWAP) )〕 who is Minister of Education. She is a member of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum.〔("Cabinet formed including MJF, UML fails to join" ), Nepalnews, August 22, 2008.〕
Yadav was elected as a Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) candidate to the Pratinidhi Sabha in the 1999 election from the Saptari-3 constituency, with 17231 votes.〔(Finalised Constituencies With Top Two Candidates )〕 In 2002 she was elected to the central committee of the RPP.〔(Nepalnews.com (newsflash) Arc551 )〕
In June 2003, she was named Minister for Women, Children and Social Affairs in the Surya Bahadur Thapa-led cabinet appointed by King Gyanendra.〔(Headline News The Kathmandu Post (Nepal) )〕 When the RPP was divided and Thapa broke away and formed the Rastriya Janshakti Party, Yadav joined RJP.
